About the Role

The Director of Education at the Partnership for Miami will collaborate closely with and support the Vice President of Education in the organization. This role is central to advancing the organization’s mission of expanding access to and enrollment in high-quality schools. The Director of Education will be responsible for building and maintaining the organization’s education data infrastructure, analyzing data to generate insights that inform strategic and organizational decision-making, and translating those insights into clear, compelling external-facing communications.

The Director of Education will also help shape the narrative around PK-12 education in Miami-Dade County by contributing to the organization’s public messaging, ensuring data and insights are communicated effectively and persuasively to diverse audiences.
In addition, the Director of Education will build and sustain strong relationships with community and civic leaders working to improve PK-12 outcomes in Miami-Dade County and provide program management and oversight for all Partnership for Miami-sponsored education programs.

Responsibilities

The Director of Education will play a critical role in supporting the Partnership for Miami’s mission of expanding access to and enrollment in high-quality schools. Through expertise in data management and analysis, the development of impactful external communications, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and effective program oversight, the Director of Education will ensure that the Partnership for Miami is equipped with the insights, relationships, and strategies necessary to drive systemic improvements in educational outcomes across Miami-Dade County.
Ultimately, this role will help elevate the organization’s influence and impact in the education space, contributing to a broader effort to create a more equitable, high-performing education system that offers every child in Miami-Dade County the opportunity to thrive in a high-quality school.

Data Management and Analysis

  • Create and maintain the organization’s education data systems and datasets.
  • Analyze education data to generate insights that inform strategic and organizational decision-making.
  • Develop clear, accessible reports, presentations, briefs, and other materials to communicate data findings.

Program Management

  • Provide program management and oversight for Partnership for Miami-sponsored education initiatives, ensuring effective planning, execution, and evaluation of programs aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community and civic leaders committed to improving PK-12 educational outcomes in Miami-Dade County.
  • Serve as a trusted partner and resource for stakeholders seeking data insights and collaborative opportunities to improve school quality and student outcomes.

Support External-Facing Communications

  • Translate data insights into compelling narratives and materials that support external communications and public messaging.
  • Contribute to written content, presentations, and publications intended for community stakeholders, civic leaders, and the broader public.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure education-related messaging is accurate, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Education, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in education, data analysis, program management, policy, or related work.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging materials for external audiences.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship-building.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Miami-Dade County’s PK-12 education landscape is a plus.
