From the Blogs: Two Principles for Leading Your Organization Through the COVID-19 Crisis

If the global pandemic is testing the very last nerves of all of us, just imagine what it is doing to those who are running nonprofits and corporations.

The blog from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University offers us insights from Harry M. Kraemer for leading organizations during these challenging times. In “Two Principles for Leading Your Organization Through the COVID-19 Crisis,” Kraemer, clinical professor of leadership at the school, offers us these two mantras.

  1. You’re going to do the right thing, and you’re going to do the best you can do.
  2. You’re going to tell people what you know, what you don’t know, and when you’ll get back to them to discuss what you didn’t know before.

His insights are spot on, not just during this crisis, but in any that follow.
