Adam works with nonprofit clients to assess software technology and provide high-level strategic support, reporting accurate and value-added financial analysis to decision makers in support of long-term strategies. He spent the first 10 years of his career as an auditor and senior analyst with Fortune companies, including Deloitte, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, and as a corporate restructuring consultant with FTI Consulting, a spin-off of PriceWaterhouse Coopers.
Having a passion for giving back to the community, he transitioned full time to the nonprofit sector in 2010 becoming the Controller at Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, where he designed and managed financial processes for a growing human rights organization. After restructuring Wellspring into a private foundation, he joined BDO FMA to provide strategic financial and technological support to a broad array of nonprofit organizations.
Adam has enjoyed volunteering for income tax assistance, Virtual Enterprises (a youth-based business education program), the Education Alliance, and United Way. He served on the boards of the Learning Disabilities Association of NYC as Treasurer and as his Co-op’s Secretary. He was involved with the Finance Steering Committee at InsideNGO (now Humentum) and the Finance Managers network at Philanthropy NY. Currently, Adam is a Board Member of the Gay Mens Chorus of South Florida and serves on the Audit Committee of Florida’s Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
